Daniel Sigmon: composer, conductor

​Daniel Sigmon is an award-winning composer of music for choir, soloists, orchestra, chamber ensemble, and organ. He has composed three one-act operas and one full-length opera, all of which have been produced. He is a performer as actor, singer, and conductor.  His compositions have been performed in Europe, Canada, and throughout the US, and he has studied with some of America’s finest composers and professors including: Robert Nelson, Michael Horvitt, Andy J. Patterson, and Virginia Luman. In 2003 he co-founded Lakehouse Opera of Houston, for which he served as Executive Director. He served as the Musical Director for Imperial Performing arts in Sugar Land, TX from 2007 to 2010.
